Not on fibre (yet! My order is going through in around 2 weeks), but I'm also in the area and my DSL speed has hit the floor this evening - normally 6.5Mbps down, 0.4Mbps up, tonight my down is a whopping 0.12Mbps. Thatcham exchange.

Actually yeah, mine's back up to 5Mbps too. Typical that it finally gets back to normal just after I post...

Mine's still not perfect, speed is still varying a lot.

Same, still, it's better than nothing - hopefully it'll be back to normal by morning.

Re: Fibre speed has dropped off a cliff this evening

I'm in Newbury (RG18) and download is about 0.75Mbps (strangely upload is about 5Mbps but laggy). I've only just joined Plusnet so this is disappointing...

I'm back up to 20Mbps now, so looking good from my point of view (usually hover between 20-24)

If i were you i wouldn't join go with Zen because with plusnet you will have decent speeds until your hooked into the contract. Run as fast as you can while you can.

Re: Fibre speed has dropped off a cliff this evening

What is wrong with the connection tonight. My speed was no where near my ip profile. Had to make a restart which resulted in massive ping spikes, which has now stabilized. My speed goes up then drops
And for some weird reason i can't get back into my router login page after making the restart, it froze after finishing the restart and is taking far too long to responsed.

@coldfox
It looks like there may be a capacity issue at your exchange.
I'd recommend raising a fault using the link below

Re: Fibre speed has dropped off a cliff this evening

Thats what you "plusnet" said to me and even stated that BT were going to add extra capacity at my exchange then it never happened.Excuses Excuses.
