Re: Update OpenReach Checker

Thanks @bmc I looked up my address and it states option 4.
However, a few weeks back I spoke to the OR engineer who is/was surveying the area. He stated as it is buried cables and zero ducting this area will be 'out of scope' for the build until 2029 at the earliest.
Was a member for years, but moved from PN fttc to fttp from an AltNet. Getting 940Mb up and down. Happy to stay on here and try to help others. 

Re: Update OpenReach Checker

For my address I get "We have no plans to build Full Fibre to this property yet", which is no surprise. As OR can only offer ADSL2 at sub-USO speed I expect that our area will be one that is abandoned by OR when ADSL is withdrawn by 2030.

Fortunately we do have an altnet, so there is no viable business case for OR to ever build FTTP in our rural area.

Re: Update OpenReach Checker

Um...

I just tried this myself (fibre is available at my postcode), using my full address and postcode, by using my existing landline phone number and by initially entering just my post code alone and finally by using my UPRN number..

Exactly the same response in each case: Normal Broadband Availability Checker page shown.

Ah! From the link above:

"This is primarily useful for those still awaiting the arrival of their Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network."

Oh, this is for the "fibre Checker"? So where is the link for that?

Re: Update OpenReach Checker

...Got it now! 🤣

Fibre Checker (openreach.com)

For my postcode it simply lists products currently available. Now including full fibre.
