Static IP Address Activation

Hi

 

My service activated today but it seems that the "activate static IP" button is very broken. Please can a member of staff activate it for me? Additionally, can they also raise a ticket for an rDNS entry on this IP please?

OK, sorry I asked, but some people forget you have to pay for it. You'll have to wait until one of the Help Team pick this up.

Thanks anyway John, sorry I'm just a bit prickly when I pay for something, go to press the "activate the thing you paid for" button and it's broken, and subsequent searches of the forum reveal it has been broken for a considerable length of time...

It's not a particularly great new customer experience. Also... why do I have to activate it? I paid at sign-up, shouldn't it be on by default...

@baz8192 No problem.Unfortunately, ever since BT bought PN, things that 'break' do not seem to get repaired, and as the brand is merely the 'poor relation' in the family, things are unlikely to improve.

The need to 'activate' the feature has always existed it's the way the system 'works'  - or not.

Thanks for sorting that out. I didn’t need to reboot, just applied the settings again and my router picked up the new IP. Can you help me with the rDNS entry request please?
