Plusnet Support?

I've been away a while but my BT contract is ending shortly. Before I make the jump back to PN, what's the position with support these days? Reason I ask is it was always decent, with additional help from PN staff on the forums. But given that the axe has already fallen on the BT Moderators on their forum, & PN is a BT company, has the same happened or scheduled to happen here?

Re: Plusnet Support?

@rbz5416 So who is 'moderating' that forum now - someone must be?

As to this forum, it has always, while I've been here, anyway, more 'Community' led. The level of PN staff support has fallen, but there are quite a number of very well informed Community members on here who can answer most technical questions - the only area where more staff support is required is 'financial' section, as only PN staff can answer many of those question - GDPR and customer confidentiality.

As to what might happen, I can't comment.

They parachuted a bunch in from EE, but they have no account access or direct access to BT staff. So their answer to any & every issue is to call the helpdesk. So someone posts that they've called BT 10 times to try to resolve an issue & the "solution" is to call BT again!

Ah - I forgot the BT forum worked slightly different to PN, although moderators here are only customers, so as said above they have no account-specific access - that is restricted to the 'Help Team', who are directly employed by PN.

@jab1

I would since this event "From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here" the forum changed and became a shadow of it's former self

Re: Plusnet Support?

You mean when 'The Wizard' moved to pastures new? Partially true, but it has dropped even further since - IMHO.

I do mean 'The Wizard' but I was suggesting that was the start of the recent fall of the forum, I have seen many changes here since 2007 when I joined.

Re: Plusnet Support?

I agree with your 'many changes' comment. I was five years behind you, but the current setup bears little resemblance to that when I joined.
