Tagging for a review of policy on this matter.
There are a number of recent requests to remove the account name form the rDNS entry. Invariably users do not want the rDNS to reveal the account name (however technically reasonable that might be) therefore each needs to raise a request for the comms team guys to raise a request elsewhere.
It has been raised before: can the DEFAULT for rDNS please be changed to <IP-address>.plus.com to that...
- Users do not need to request the removal of their account name
- Busy staff do not need to (a) understand the request and (b) make a request elsewhere
- Very busy back room staff are not distracted by trivial matters
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
