1.6Gb ?

Assuming this isn't actually an April Fool joke, my understanding is all UK ISP's can now offer 1.6Gbps as of the 1st. Has Plusnet made any announcement on this, and has anyone heard anything?

Re: 1.6Gb ?

BT Wholesale participation is a likely factor, so I wouldn't expect to hear anything soon. The Hub Two would also need an uplift as it 'only' has a GbE WAN port.

Re: 1.6Gb ?

How do you anticipate using 1.6Gbps?

Experience of EE's service suggests that user internal networks might struggle to use that bandwidth - see https://www.ispreview.co.uk/talk/threads/ee-1-6gb-fibre-broadband-more-unstable-than-a-jenga-tower-i...

This is so typical of a user's inability to use the delivered product ... being blamed on the delivered product.

Re: 1.6Gb ?

Interested in hearing of any plans too.

And I have the ability on my non-plusnet router to connect up to 2gbps.
