Stopped receiving certain Emails

Hi,

I have recently stopped receiving emails from certain companies into my mail box.

They are listed in my contacts (address book), and I have been getting them no problems up until about 2 weeks ago.

I haven't changed anything.

I seem to remember some time ago Plusnet had issues regarding emails sent from Marks & Spencer that was eventually resolved.

But since the companies involved are not forthcoming with any information about failed email messages (after all, it appears it's not an issue with them, but with PlusNet), is there anything you can do, other than me changing to a different email provider.

Two of the companies are Music Magpie and IONOS, with the latter putting a notice on my account saying that they could not contact me via the PlusNet email address I use.

By mail box are you referring to web mail? If not have you logged in to that to see if it’s there or in spam?

Hi,

I use the Thunderbird email client but I also check Web mail, and I have nothing in the Junk folder.

It appears that the messages are not even reaching the inbox or Junk (Spam) folder.

How strict is your spam filter - in the Members Centre?

Hi,

I am having issues with both PlusNet Email and an old ic24 Email account.

For PlusNet I have the lowest Aggressiveness setting (1).

For ic24 I don't see anywhere I can access a similar setting because it is only the Web Mail interface.

I wonder if I add the email addresses to the White/Blacklist Filtering: for the PlusNet account.

But the ic24 account I cannot see anything I can do.

OK - that setting in PN should let most through - but I can't say more than that, I have mine set to 'off' and use my own mail-filtering software. Can you try turning it to 'off' and see what happens?

Can't help with the ic24 account though, I'm afraid.

I have switched the Spam filter off and will see how it goes.

Let us know. It may take a time, and you may end up with the odd 'spam', but it is all I can suggest at the moment.
