Hello all,
I've just submitted an order for plusnet pro (migrating from sky broadband which was terrible), when I check the status of the order it says "Checking your details" and has done for a few hours now.
Can anyone tell me if that is normal? (i'm mainly worried that sky has screwed up with the MAC code) If it is just checking payment stuff and the MAC code I'd have expected it to go through that stage pretty quickly (I understand the whole thing could take a week). I've tried searching the forums and FAQ and can't find anything.
Yours paranoid-everything-will-go-wrong,
Sean

Hi Sean,
I'll go check everything's ok, it's likely that your order just missed one of our automated XML runs (places the order automatically with the supplier) and is just waiting for the next one.

The MAC is fine and valid and the order will be placed when the next XML run kicks in (around an hour or so). It'll take around 5 working days to complete then.

Did you choose to make the initial payment by card? That can speed things up.

Thanks both for the replies (already customer service trumps sky ::))
The status page now shows as 'checking your line' which is good
