Speed terrible today..

just got in and my internet speed is a joke. i do a speedtest, and its like from 200kb to 1mb, websites are taking an age to load? whats going on? first time ive had to complain Aabout speed as mine is usually fine, hope this is only temporary. Ive tryed resetting my router etc no luck.
i went to check what gateway i was on see if its an issue and i get this "Sorry, records show your IP address is not from the Plusnet brand and as such, we cannot detect your gateway." ????

The gateway checker has issues at present.
If you open a command window and do a tracert to bbc.co.uk the second line should give you your gateway.

i jus reset router again and im on pcl-ag01 gateway... so whats going on with my speeds today? anyone else getting this? so frustrating

went out for an hour or 2 come back and its still the same, 700kb/s on speed test ..
so can someone who knows tell me have i been capped or sumit??? or is there something up?

just did bt speed test thing

it just seems to me like its been capped? :S at 1mb, or is there a big fault, cuz from a constant 5-6mb to that is horrible

HI KaotiK,
Your connection logs below show some disconnections which have probably caused your IP profile to go down to 750k which is why you're getting slow speeds. Are you aware of what caused these disconnections? Your sync rate is now 8128 so, if there are no more disconnections, it won't be too long before your profile goes back to 7150k, I'll keep an eye on it for you and make any adjustments necessary.

If you mean the disconnections today.. thats probably me resetting my router in rage to try and get it back working again (by pulling the plug out the socket and back in again) 😕 otherwise ive had no disconnections atall, the only time was like 2 weeks ago when we had high winds, but i never had any probs untill today with my speeds. thank you for the reply. any idea how long it will take for my speeds to go back to normal? pulling my hair out with the speed of loading times and streaming youtube videos taking an age

we would normally quote 72 hours for it to lift but with such a big increase expected I have seen it change within hours, just don't disconnect anymore.

Forgot to attach the visual before. I would definitely say it is much better to leave your router on all the time. I can't remember the last time I switched mine off.

hmm so does this just "happen" randomly sometimes? cuz judging by that the only time its dropepd is when i turn it off at night. and today of course but thats after finding out my speed has gone bad. As ive never had this happen to me before what could of caused it this time?

now im lagging on ventrilo to, 800 ping.. 😐 these times are bringing back the days of aohell ! hope this sorts it as u say by tommorow or so, cuz i cant put up with this.. i cant do anything 😐
