Router Age

Morning All. I think my router is coming up to 3 years old now as I have had it for two 18 month contracts, I think! Do they lose their efficiency over time? All devices I connect and use seem to be slower and or buffering when until recently they were perfect and really fast connection to pages. Thanks in advance,

Bob

Re: Router Age

@bobbycoy At 3 years old, the Hub should still be OK. Which one is it, Hub1 or Hub2, and what is is the firmware version?

Re: Router Age

Hi John,

Thanks for the reply. It's a Hub One, no idea about the firmware?

Re: Router Age

@bobbycoy OK. the f/w is indicated on the 'Help Desk' page on your Hub. If you could post a screen shot of that page (obscuring any personal data), it may also give us a clue as to why you perceive things to be slow.

@bobbycoy

If you've recently re-contracted you should be able to ask for a Hub2, paying only postage of £6.99

Re: Router Age

@bmc That is true, but if the OP is suffering from network issues, that will not solve them.
