Radius Log Interpretation

Hi,
I noticed this graphic in my fault ticket.  If I'm reading that correctly it shows "Session Close" at 15:00 on Thursday, and "Session Start" at 08:00 on Friday.  However our connection was online throughout that time.  Am I missing something?

Re: Radius Log Interpretation

There was a issue with the records over that period so it won't show as a connection,

Re: Radius Log Interpretation

Same as above, some RADIUS logs aren't showing at the moment.

Re: Radius Log Interpretation

Is that connected to VMBU not working for some people?

Thanks,  hopefully it won't mislead the people working on our fault.

Re: Radius Log Interpretation

@spoonwhittler
No that's a separate issue.
@aesmith
Our faults guys can use our suppliers RADIUS logs to see if the connection was online or dropping during that time.

Re: Radius Log Interpretation

Except that people rely on the radius logs far too heavily when evidence says they should be looking at other things.
When I first moved to this house I had an issue where an incoming phone call caused a loss of sync. However it resynced so quickly that the PPP session did not drop and I kept getting told that I was not having connection drops because it wasn't showing in the radius logs.

Re: Radius Log Interpretation

Our RADIUS logs may not have shown it, but it should have appeared directly on the fault testing. I can't say for sure as I wasn't involved in your fault.
