Re: Problem with connecting to webpages

So do I just wait and see if I have problems with not connecting?  as Its been ok so far today but then it is random when it happens.

Re: Problem with connecting to webpages

Let's wait and see first before doing any more playing as the next step could well be accessing the router using the command line interface which isn't a good idea unless we really have to.

Re: Problem with connecting to webpages

Well hopefully that won't be necessary and it is now fixed.  I will keep my fingers crossed.
Thanks again for your help and support.

It's also worth noting that unticking the IPv6 box in the networking properties often helps with Vista (particularly if you're using your router as a DNS proxy).
Most routers can't handle IPv6 requests and PN don't have IPv6 DNS servers so there's no point having it enabled in most cases. (IIRC Vista will try an IPv6 lookup before it tries a normal IPv4 lookup if IPv6 is enabled.)

Thanks for your suggestion, I've unticked the box and followed oldjim's instructions so hopefully the problem is now resolved.
