Order status Confusion??

I placed an order with plusnet monday evening for the extra fibre with pro add on and provided them with my MAC code tuesday morning. I am currently bemused to which they say that i'll have service in 10 days however my order status is still stuck on:
We're gathering details about your account so we can place your broadband order.
Checking Your Details.
I haven't had my install date confirmed yet is this normal ?

The status about gathering information is because it's waiting to be picked up by one of the provisioning team to confirm one of your 3 preferred dates. You should receive confirmation of one of these dates shortly.
