Newsletter Sticky?

Newsletter Sticky?

I posted about the very helpful PN newsletter that I received yesterday. Some responses indicated that the users had not received this.  I wondered if it might be an idea to add this to the top of the Community section as a sticky? (obviously changing it with each new issue).

Re: Newsletter Sticky?

Maybe they could arrange for the newsletter to be accessed through the new footer ?
It could do with a few more meaningful links

Re: Newsletter Sticky?

That's not a bad plan, though I suspect it would be added to the front page of commuity rather than posted in the forums... would this be acceptable? I'll pop a post in our internal forums for the marketing guys to have a look at.

Re: Newsletter Sticky?

As long as it is easy to find, although I still feel that a sticky would be more obvious. Also, if (as is the case with the current one), there are links in it which might help users to solve problems, it is easy to reference if it is in the forum.

Re: Newsletter Sticky?

It may be more obvious for forum users, but for those who just read the front page it would be less so. Also it would mean further work for the moderators stickifying, unstickifying and moving each fresh post which won't be the case on the front page.
I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here, the thread in our internal forums won't get picked up until tomorrow anyway.

Re: Newsletter Sticky?

Why isn't the latest on http://www.plus.net/features/news/ ?
Surely it should appear on there at the same time as the first emailed copy goes out!
Also - how do you find that page starting from portal.plus.net without using search?

Re: Newsletter Sticky?

Thanks for the above Jelv, I've amended the internal post and have asked about the March newsletter. I'll let you know when there's any replies.
With regard to the news page, the link is (currently) in the bottom left of the page, in the 'latest news' box there's a link to view the news archive.

Re: Newsletter Sticky?

I am not in that boat, but wasnt it said in the "Row" after the last news letter that Business users dont get an e-mail copy, nor those that opt out of marketing letters?

Re: Newsletter Sticky?

I'll have a word with Chris C about getting it added to the website.

Re: Newsletter Sticky?

As suspected, there's already been a task raised to get this done.
