Thanks never thought of that.  Internet hasn't got any faster, do you think i will have to wait another 3 days for it to change again? It's currently sitting at 25 kbps, even though it was up to 134 an hour ago!

You shouldn't have to wait three days since the change in sync speed was so large. The larger the change the faster the DLM will react.
Those figures you just posted, how did you get those?

I got those results from my broadband speedtester. Couldn't use the BT one so soon.  Ip profile is still at 135 this morning!

Still synced at 2080kbps? With no interruptions?
As Oldjim said earlier, you might think that with such a poor connection and frequent disconnects you may have been banded but that only apples to adsl2 (or does it?) and you are connected on adsl. See:

Edit: Regarding filter problems, I have seen several examples where everything seemed good until the phone rang when the connection instantly went down.

Yes still synced at the higher speed and no disconnects. I will leave it the 72 hrs just to be sure then give Plusnet another ring. Find if I contact through the help centre it takes ages for them to get back to me.

Something isn't clear from your posts:
You have two telephone sockets and two telephones I think.
Can you confirm that you had a filter in both telephone sockets and not just the one with the router.

Yes I have filters in both phone sockets. Had only one connected whilst plugged into the main socket as I had disconnected everything else.

Just did another BT speedtester as internet was slower than ever. As you can see sync speed is better than ever yet my download speed is 19 kbps.  I can't believe it has actually got worse.  Does anyone know if Plusnet can do something about this or if not who can help?

Plusnet can have your profile reset but I think they need BT's co-operation to do that.
They have their own profile which will also need resetting.

Yes they already reset that on Saturday. Guy said it was at 250 Kbps. Obviously won't do much good until my BT one is reset! I keep hoping I'm going to come home and it's going to be fixed!

Thanks Jojo.  Just in and checked and profile is indeed at 3 mbps.  My download speed is 2550.  Thanks to everyone that helped me with this I really appreciate the help.
