To be honest I have had it before and worse after my 'upgrade' to MaxDSL a year ago now, before that solid 1Mb for ages but I do like the new bbyw charges.
The new router/modem did boost my connection speeds briefly but not enough to change the 1.5Mb connection I had and its now dropped down to 1/2Mb is this a normal variation or something that I or plusnet can do something about?
These are my new router/modem connection figures:-
Trained Modulation ADSL_G.dmt
Path Mode Interleaved
Ds Rate (Kbps) 1056
Us Rate (Kbps) 448
DS Margin (dB) 10
US Margin (dB) 18
DS Line Attenuation (dB) 58
US Line Attenuation (dB) 31
CRC Rx Fast 0
CRC Tx Fast 0
CRC Rx Interleaved 1095
CRC Tx Interleaved 9
My thanks in advance if anyone can suggest anything.
Peter.

Check connection settings -> high speed broadband on the portal which will most likely say 500.
Until you can sync higher I'm afraid there is nothing you can do to improve what you have. Its possible the weather is the cause but with ADSL there are many causes, including no-filtered phones, bad internal wiring, your router not handling the noise level (you have a very bad line with a DS line atten of 58 meaning you are a long way from the exchange).
Its also possible due to line problems that BT have upped your min SNR to 9 dB which will cause a lower sync rate and reduction in throughput speed.
Try plugging the DSL into the test socket which is behind the user removable lower panel of your master socket. Also try with all other phones disconnected to see if you get an improvement. If you do then your internal wiring is at fault.

The synchronisation speed is also relatively low owing to the SNR of 18dB. this may be down to your line being noisy. I'd try changing filters and ensuring that you are connected directly to your master socket with all other sockets filtered.
It may help.
