Damage to house when installing telephone line

I recently had someone install telephone line in my house and when drilling a hole in the wall for the cable they have managed to pull of a large amount of the render of my house around the hole. Is there anything I can do to get this fixed as the waterproof barrier of my house has been damaged and looks awful?

Hi @hrwaldron

Welcome to the forum.

Did the engineer admit he/she did the damage at the time?

All line work is carried out by Openreach or a contractor working for them, I suggest you take a look at their complaints procedure

Openreach complaints

Hi, no they didn't mention it to me I only saw it after they left but they had to put in a whole new line from the telephone pole, there was nothing there before. The damage could only have been done by them. I'll contact openreach

@hrwaldron - Did you manage to get in touch with Openreach? And if so, any luck in sorting out what happened ?
