Hi
I have a 2mb ip profile and speed test averages about 1700-1800kbps. I am on the unlimited package.
However downloads never go above 225kbps! This speed applies for downloads from p2p or files off any site at ANY time of day or night with no other applications running. During peak time it drops to about 25kbps despite being listed as capped at 128kbps on plusnet.
Surely I should be able to get faster downloads?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
I don't think anything is wrong, I think that your units are a bit muddles up
Speedtests will show in kilobits - kbps - where as your browser will show in kilobytes -KBps - when it is downloading.
There are 8 bits in a byte, so 1800kbps = 225KBps which is what you are seeing.
HTH
