What's a 'soft reboot'?  Does that mean just use the inbuilt disconnect/connect option rather than unplugging the power lead?

Hi Azagoth,
I don't understand French but I think that's what he means Wink

p.s. yes, the 'soft reboot' tells the exchange that it was an intentional drop and doesn't affect the DLM

Given the DS noise margin of 8.4 you are not going to see much of an increase going to ADSL2. If you are unlucky, you may actually see a decrease if the line is bad due to ADSL2 using additional frequency ranges which are more affected by a bad line than ADSL is.
I think you mean ADSL2+ (ITU G.992.5). ADSL2 (ITU G.992.3/4) works in the same frequency range as ADSL. Atleast where Annex A is concerned.  Smiley

Something's happening, my router is syncing at an increasing rate.

It's just the 'Current Line Speed' that's going the wrong way.  It was 6500, then jumped to 7150 and is now back at 6500 again.  Huh

Hi Azagoth,
Good sync rate. If that stays like that you'll soon have a profile of 10000.

can you quantify that?, is it from the BT Test?,, mine gives stupid impossible values, but the Mybroadband test is OK, Bob P agreed with me but never gave a reason
