why has my phone been transfered but Internet isn't going to be on until tomorrow. This is madness

Actually, @Ajack44 , it is standard practice unless a 'simultaneous' transfer is agreed.

I switch provider every year and never have to wait until the next day.

Are you sure it is tomorrow, or is it as most other notices any time up to midnight this evening?

Yeah says the 13th on email. Not a great start. Let's hope they switch it early tomorrow lol

OK so does it say that it is "Up to midnight on the 13th"?

If yes, then you've made the all too common error of believing that midnight on a particular date is the end of the day, where in fact it is the very beginning of a day.

Active by midnight 13th August means sometime before 2020-08-13 00:00 - that is sometime up to one second after 23:59:59 on the 12th August.
