Broadband light flashing on router

Hi,

The broadband light on my router has been flashing for quite a few days now and I haven't had any internet connection. I've tried restarting the router and using a different telephone socket but still the same issue.

Has anyone been able to fix this?

Our tests are showing a potential internal issue known as a 'Loop' fault which can sometimes be due to internal equipment.

I should mention that there is also no dial tone when I connect a telephone to the socket

I have tested your line today and the results indicate a potential issue with the equipment connected to the phone line.

To rule out your equipment as the cause, we would like to see if the fault is still present with your equipment disconnected from the line.

Please contact us when all the phone sockets in the property are unplugged and if possible remove the faceplate of the master socket which will disconnect the internal wiring.

Once complete, please let us know on here and reply to the ticket on your account.

Hi @Jubby

I have unplugged everything and removed the faceplate of the master socket. The cables still seem to be connected to the faceplate, is this ok? I have also noticed that one wire was not connected to anything.

From what I can see we've got an engineer visit booked in.
