BT Speedtester down???

Hi,
I use BT's SpeedTester ocasionally but it appears to be giving problems lately...
I thought it was my Firefox settings as I've been configuring an AddOn to stop pop-ups which eBay appear to be trialling.
However it won't run under IE either.
(if this has been mentioned elsewhere my apologies...)

Re: BT Speedtester down???

The JRE icon still pops up in the sys tray when you initiate the test does it? BT speedtester can seem to stop for some and still work for others (worked here a few moments ago). Might be exchange/RAS dependant? If you can't get it working for about a week or so, perhaps Jameseh can make enquiries for you.

Re: BT Speedtester down???

Hi,
Just checked again this morning (~10am) and it's still down - well at least I can't get the page to open.
I've tried using Firefox and IE.
In FF I get the black bar along the top of the page with the "PERFORMANCE TESTER Your details will be verified after clicking on GO button" message then - nothing. At the bottom left of screen it says "Applet tickerapplet2 started"  Then nothing.
In IE it tries to load the page twice then I get an error message saying there was a problem with the page...
It's been like this for a few days...
Strange, it's often a trifle flaky but usually works eventually, but it's been down for a few days...

Re: BT Speedtester down???

Very strange...
Using FF 3.5 here too.
Normally have a couple of add-ons running (WOT & NoScripts) but I disabled both and still no luck.
The strange thing is that it won't work in IE either (Version Cool

Re: BT Speedtester down???

Still not working! (today - Friday)
With FF (v 3.5) I get a white screen with a black bar occupying about a fifth of the top of the screen, with the writing:-
PERFORMANCE TESTER
Your details will verified after clicking on GO button.
AT bottom left of screen, in tray, I have:-
Applet tickerapplet2 started
I normally run a couple of Add Ons with FF but I have these disabled at the moment.
Using IE (the latest version) I just get a blank screen with 'done' bottom left.
'Must' be a browser config issue but I can't for the life of me see what it is!  Angry

>did you click the GO button?<
There is no GO button displayed...
only a white screen with a black band near the top with the writing:-
PERFORMANCE TESTER
Your details will verified after clicking on GO button.
Oh and Java & Java script are enabled...

Re: BT Speedtester down???

Weather down here in North Wales hasn't been too clever today either...though was nice all week  Smiley
I've just run PingPlotter and it checks the route between me and BT Speedtester...
The last hop is shown as 'Destination address unreachable'
Now why should that be?
