Hi,
Had our fibre connected and switched on today. Many thanks Plusnet for the prompt service.
Told by the BT engineer that we are on the 40/10 system. Sync speeds seem near that when he tested the line, 39 down, 9 up.
Could you alter our line profile to match this? Seems as 19 down was estimated before the switch over from ADSL.
Many thanks.
Rich.

Hi there,
Your line profile is currently set at 37MB/s. When your line is regraded, your provisionally speed will be set at the highest we can provide for your line and will then adjust itself once the sync rate has been established.
So if you sync at 40MB/s and it stays there then nothing will change on our side.
I have checked your line and it does show the estimate being at 19MB/s, so 37MB/s would be very nice.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
So the new fibre line will adapt/train over the next 2 to 3 days to achieve best sync speeds? If stays around 40/10 we're looking good. That right?
Nothing more for me to do if that's the case?
Chuffed with that speed. Thanks for your help.
Rich.

Hi richardp,
That's correct. Your line will train over a number of days to find the best sync rate. If you can hold the sync at 40/10 then this will be established as your maximum stable rate despite the 19Mbps estimate.
