wii need port 443

i have been attempting to access internet on my wii. i have a wifi access point and it is plugged in. i am confident that the problem is with the plusnet firewall. unfortunately i cannot allow comunication on port 443 which is required if i wish to access internet on my wii. is there anything i can do short of turning off the plusnet firewall which i would rather not like to do?

thank you for any input.

Can I ask why you will not allow data through port 443 which is actually the HTTPS port (secure HTTP) used by many websites and banks when you login.

I am able to use the internet on my Wii without any problems and have the PN Firewall turned on.

Firewalls generally speaking should not block outgoing requests from inside your network.

Are you sure that you have connected the Wii to your network correctly? Are you able to view your router's web management console?
