Wireless Broadband - a question!

Hi,

I was considering a pay per minute subscription to the wireless broadband service, but then read that it will not work with PDA's. Is this still the case, and if so why wouldn't it work when BT Openzone accepts PDA's?

I have a Dell Axim x3i with Pocket PC 2003, the wireless card supports the 128bit WEP protocol

Thanks in advance!

Wireless Broadband - a question!

Hi,

There was a work around for using a PDA here. I don't know if it still works.

Thanks,

Not sure if I want to spend the money though, if it might not work!!
Do you know.. with the pay per minute product, do +net charge you for a block of minutes in advance, or does it work by totalling your minutes used and them adding that to your normal Broadband bill?

On Pay as You Go it's per minute (rounded up to the nearest minute), if you only use 1 minute then you only get charged for 1 minute.

Yes, it will still work. You could also go straight to http://wifilogin.plus.net once you're on the hotspot.

(NB: wifilogin.plus.net isn't reachable from anywhere except Openzone hotspots, so even though the forum auto-linked it, don't bother clicking!)
