Unable to configure wireless router

Help! I've just tried to install a wireless router but am unable to connect to the internet. Checked all the obvious stuff - cables, password etc. but still no joy! As I'm still trying to configure it, I'm not even using the wireless feature yet (network cable to get it up and running), so it's not a wireless problem (yet!).

I'm getting the message that the router is 'operational but not connected'. I've manually added my plusnet login user ID and password already, so I assume it's failing due to the protocol settings. This is where I'm clueless!

Any ideas what I should record against the following options:

RFC - 2364 PPPoverATM
RFC - 1483 IPoverATM bridged / routed / static MER / dynamic MER
RFC - 2516 PPPoverEthernet embedded

The default's RFC - 2364 PPPover ATM which is how I left it.

Then there's the following, all of which I left as the defaults:
VPI = 8
CVI = 32
Modulation = autosense
Encapsulation = VCMUX (or LCC/SNAP)
Authentication = CHAP

Or any other suggestions welcomed!

Agghhhhh!! Help, anyone!?!

Unable to configure wireless router

Your default RFC of PPPover ATM is ok but change these to
VPI = 0
VCI = 38
username: yourusername@plusdsl.net
password: xxxxxx (your plusnet login p/w)

You should then be able to connect
