Router.........re-booting

hi guys,quick question,when re-booting a wireless router is it sufficient to turn off mains switch or is it better to unplug router.

What do you mean by 'unplug the router', unplug what from where? mains or network cable or something else. If you mean unplug the network cable between router and PC then there is no need to.

If your router has an on/off switch just use that. If is doesn't I would just unplug the mains cable from the router for 15 seconds then plug it back in. If its easier to get at the mains switch just switch it off/on from there.

Router.........re-booting

Ideally a router should be rebooted from its control panel as this will tell BT that it was a deliberate disconnection and not the line dropping (which may cause BT to drop your IP Profile).

Simply switching off or unplugging the router will work as well though.
