Busy times get DNS error.

Happy New year everyone!

Has anyone any ideas on the above. I have a Dlink wireless router and I have noticed during busy times I seem to get DNS issues ( DNS error page - cannot find server or DNS error).

Other times things are fine. Is there an issue with DHCP when things are busy?. Has anyone else experienced this. Has any one any suggestions.

Many thanks

Richard

Busy times get DNS error.

Hi Richard,

Welcome to the forums and Happy New Year.

It may be an idea to "hardcode" Plus Nets DNS servers into your router.

The servers are

212.159.13.49
212.159.13.50
212.159.6.9
212.159.6.10

You can use any or all of these.

Try that and see if it makes any difference.

I am assuming that you are not losing wireless connectivity, albeit temporarily, when these issues are occurring.

Hope that helps.

Thanks

I can set up two addresses so I have used 212.159.13.49 and 212.159.6.9 and see how it goes.

Thanks for your help

Richard
