Belkin router - strange problem

This is a strange one. I have a new Belkin G+ MIMO modem router F5D 9630-4. I can reach every website I try except Microsoft.com and MSN.com. It just stays at 'Connecting'. I can get cnn.com, so it's not just America.

I've tried Opera as well as IE7.

I've spoke to Belkin helpdesk (in Bangalore) who tried a couple of settings. One was to change the MTU (?) to 1400. Then he passed me to his Supervisor - that's when the call got lost. They never rang back.

I've swapped back and forth with the old Voyager 105 a few times, to prove. I can connect OK using that. This happens on the directly connected PC as well as the wireless laptop.

Any ideas?

it usually is the MTU, i've fallen foul of this in the past. remember your router sets an mtu as well as your pc
as i recall m$oft servers don't like mtu above about 1460

Thanks, yes, I changed the MTU to 1400, still no joy. I've taken the router back and got a refund. Now using a wired network - it's only 10 feet away to the conservatory.
