Whenever I start FF I'm getting this cookie being set in FF. The IP is always a plusnet one.
Any ideas what it is? It doesn't seem to come from any websites that I have open and it never happened when I used Sky Broadband?
Cheers!
Paul.

Do you run your own webserver with php on your computer or network?
As oldjim says, is it your own IP or another? - You can check your IP address here: http://www.whatismyip.com/
If it is, then you have a webserver on your system and something that is calling it (possibly a plugin or virus) and that is causing it to set a session cookie.
If it isn't your ip then for some reason firefox is making outbound contact to that IP address for some reason. Could be a plugin or something sinister.

It's my IP. I have no servers running on my machine, they are on my server (another Win 7 machine). It had a complete rebuild in the past 2 weeks and was doing it before as well. I run Eset Smart Security. I guess it's possible that it's an add-on but not sure what would do it. The only thought I had was maybe it was the router but it should only do it if the router page is open.
