wireless modem recommendation for Vista basic?

I have been running a desktop PC with XP sp2 fine with my Voyager USB modem but have now acquired a new laptop with Vista home basic which doesn't work with the modem.
As I now have in-built wireless ability on my laptop I would like to get a new modem which via USB still connects my desktop but is also wireless so I can use my laptop.
Does anyone have any tips or advice on which wireless modem to buy given my hardware?

You need a router and connect via the network port if you dont have one then you can get a card for £10 or less.
Failing that some router like the Guru have a wireless and a usb connection as well as etherent.
