windows media

Hello. i tuned in to w-media today to listen to james blunt on pc and was asked if wanted to upgrade. did>>> and now i can't find the icon for media or how to make one. can play my music on media but have to trace the track first  before it appears. also it doesn't play the  cd continuously. help would be appreciated  to get a shortcut or something. thanks firefly2

What icon are you talking about and where is it normally located?

Hi okrzynska. the windows media, after upgrading disappeared from the pc . it did not show in short or long program list  or installed progs . the icon was the shortcut that had previously been on the desk-top. however it must have needed a reboot as the window media is back on the list now thanks for showing interest tho' . firefly2
