I have all my music on a N.A.S. turns out windows 7 is so safisticted it will not list the files unless ANOTHER pc has indexed them.
Already had to work around the issue of NAS and Win 7 by addressing it via network IP address now it will not list my music a step back or what.
I had to open File Explorer and Media Player 12 and copy the file across. Poor show if you ask me.
Vista was better.
Same with documents stored on NAS Win 7 will not index them. Instead MS suggest I make the files avaliable offline if i wish to index them however this copies the file to the pc and or laptop I DON'T the files stored on the machines just the NAS.
Am I missing something obvious?
