Hi,
I am about to buy an epson sx515w printer
My present old pc is cabled to my wifi thompson router from plusnet and works fine and so does my new laptop via wifi
Will the new printer work ok via wifi via the router if my computer connection remains the same..... or should i cable the printer ( assuming that may be possible ? ).....
Also will i be able to print via wifi from my new laptop to the new wifi printer.......
I dont have any network set up and dont wish to do so ..
Just an old silver surfer requiring some advice please
Cheers

You already have a network set up (the PC & the laptop).
You just need to add one extra device (the printer).
You would be able to print from both PC's to the printer.
It might also be possible to connect your printer via a USB cable to one of the PC's (depending on the printer) - but it wouldn't be a network printer then.

My HP WiFi printer is actually an Ethernet and USB printer as well
I suppose I love messing about but I have had it operating as all three at different times. HP recommend connecting it as a USB printer if WiFi fails to configure but it set up first time out of the box using WiFi on the Thomson, with my desktop connected to the router by Ethernet. Our laptop will connect either through the router on WiFi or direct to the printer on WiFi.
Sorry this isn't about an Epson but I hope it helps
