website connection

I can connect to any website from one laptop but when using a different laptop the router is turned off. What is wrong with the second laptop? I've  connected to Microsoft support from the second laptop but they can find nothing wrong. Is the laptop ID corrupt? Any suggestions?

Re: website connection

@embee Welcome to the forums. I'm not 100% this is the right answer as your question is a little unclear, but assuming you are connecting wirelessly, are you sure the wireless adapter on the second machine is turned on/functioning correctly?

Can you connect the second machine to the router via a network cable and see if it works?

Re: website connection

For a short period disable password security on router; try connection again.
If it works, something amiss on unconnectable PC's security settings. Re enable router security;
try again.
Also ensure the router SSID for the 2 frequencies are DIFFERENT eg add "5" at end of SSID
for 5ghz one.
