web hosting

Hi,
is anyone using/used QiQ for hosting.  I was reading the following forum (http://usergroup.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,5115.0.html) and within it someone suggested QiQ (http://www.qiq.co.uk/technology1.php).
They seem to provide a good hosting package for £30 a year with the added bonus that at the moment they are doing a special for £2..  yes £2 which seems to good to be true (O Yee of little faith).  Grin
regards

Re: web hosting

Their pricing does look good. But there UK address is hardly what you would call the centre of the IT universe.

Re: web hosting

Most companies who offer hosting have a tendency to tell you how state-of-the-art their datacentre is, and what fabulous kit your solution will run on etc - even if its in a co-location-datacentre, its something that normally features highly on their marketing material.
I'd want some more info on the physical side of the deal before committing - ie location, hardware, techsupport callout times, vendor support/replacement schemes, DR facilities etc.
Any company serious about their hosting will be happy to expand on their abilities, and they may well have a good reason for not wanting to emblazon it all over their website.
I'd ask the questions though.

DR facilities

Full RAID, external hard disc drive caddies and Acronis/GRC software- probably the only question I score any points on  Grin
Any takers  Wink

Still no points - if its on the same site, its not a solution. Grin
At least that question scored a zero though, much higher than the score for any of the previous questions.
