The feature is the ability to have your own set resolution as a different user. I'm sure microsoft intended that as a feature NOT a bug.
Care to correct me further or do you want to take me up on that re-read?
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

My apologies - I wasn't contradicting anything you said about screen resolutions.
However, the way in which Windows does this is is a bit rubbish (ie not designed and certainly not a feature). Windows shouldn't be showing any icons or anything until after it has set the resolution. The screen shouldn't be flashing at the user.

hi all. if this was a sreen res detecting at sart up.
why did this not start un till about 4 to 5 months after i bought the laptop. surely this prob would b  from the begining.
r u shaw its not a driver prob as windows update did install a new driver some way back to do with my chipset family.
as said before i stoped every thing from starting up but did not solve prob.
its not a big problem but would b nice to find a soultion.
