Hi. Its dippy kitkat again. While browsing the internet, I suddenly get the above come up. I then have to enter my username and password to access gateway. This has happened quite a few times now and I just press cancel but it won't take no for an answer. Can some tell what this is all about? Thanks in advance.

Hi kitkat,
Have you entered the correct username and password for your router login? These should be found on the card that you received with your router.

In the case of Mis-placed cards

You are supposed to be re-directed to the router login page only when your Internet connection is down. It's possible to disable this "web browsing interception" feature if it's happening when your Internet connection isn't down.

Thank you all for replying. The page does come up even though the internet is not down. The page just pops up when I am browsing. I just press cancel and it goes away for maybe a day or so. Therefore I can't understand why it keeps happening.I do not know how to disable the web browser interseption.
The internet has been getting slower and slower to load and my browser keeps crashing so I don't know if it is all connected in some way. I am at a loss when it comes to technology (and spelling) My son has said, putting a logical computer in the hands of an illogical woman (he means me) is disaster waiting to happen. He is up for adoption now. BTW is there a spell checker on here?

Hi kitkat,
Unfortunately we don't have a spell checker (as far as I'm aware), however, if you wanted to check your spelling you could always copy the text and paste it into a program like Word and use the spell checker in that before submitting anything here I wouldn't worry too much about it though, I'm sure we can make out what you're trying to say even if there are a few spelling mistakes
I've taken a look at your line and it seems like you've been losing connection fairly frequently over the past week which may coincide with the screen popping up.
Here's your connection graph:

I would suggest raising a fault here and letting our faults team look into what may be causing these disconnections: http://faults.plus.net
