Well OK it's not totally unsuitable if either you don't want it to record your total usage peak/off-peak or if you do want it to record your usage and your billing date is the first of the month.
TBB have a peculiar idea that if your peak usage is to be started on say the 10th on the month, 8am to midnight it will total that usage correctly until the last day of month. But usage from the first of the next month until the 9th will not be totalled!

You've discovered it too!
When I set it up I thought - great - there's a field labelled "Start month on the day", so I entered '10'. The next field offers 'Calendar' 'Four Weeks' or '30 Days'. I opted for 'Calendar' and was not amused to find that the count refreshed on 1 Dec.
One presumes that since 'Calendar' is offered, there must be a bug in it.

From Andrew's latest post it looks like they might change it. The way it works at the moment is absolutely bonkers!

Not tried it myself, but that does seem a little nonsensical

It is pretty useless as a tool to check usage against Plusnet peak usage because:
1) It doesn't record total peak usage (8-12), only the highest hourly usage in a 24 hour period. This is what the developer means by peak usage.
2) It doesn't differentiate packets destined for the internet and internal network e.g. other computers, network attached printers or storage.
Hopefully some constructive feedback to the developer will help to make this a more useful tool.

I need confirmation of what happens for people with billing dates of 29, 30 or 31 when the month doesn't have that date. I presume that people who were billed on 31st Oct were billed on 1st Dec and will next be billed on 31st Dec and that usage is reset on the same days.

Hi John,
We bill on Calendar days on the nearest day of the same month.
More simply put, if you're billed on August 31st, you'll then be billed on September 30th and then October 31st.
