spreadsheet question

I've a number (say 5.61678e-21) we will call A, another number B (say 0.0014)
If A = Bn what function do I use to find n
Having a senior moment...................

2 questions back at you:
1. Is n integer or something else?
2. What spreadsheet are you using?
It will probably be some sort of exponent function.

Mathematically
n=LogBA
In Excel the function LOG takes parameters Number and Base so =LOG(Cell 'A', Cell 'B') should work

try:
=log10(A)/log10(B)
or
=ln(A)/ln(B)
(the answer is the same  ~ 7.0958 for the given A and B !!!!)

doh, ...................comes back to me now, Thanks guys - drinks on me - works a treat, (am using excel, n is not an integer).
