Re: safari browser

On my iMac, OSX 10.6.8, I use Safari 5.1.2 no problem.
Have you tried re-downloading it, or delete it and use Software Update in the  menu, top left.
Which browser were you using before Safari & Chrome ?
Where are you downloading it from, it comes free with OSX, is it a purchased copy of OSX ?

Re: safari browser

The question was asked in the Mac/Linux software section though, but yes I suspected the same.
If that is the case, I wonder if the correct version for the O/S was downloaded ?
I note he does state the rotating circle of death, AFAIK that is a Mac OSX thing.

Just a bit more info The browser was ie9. Add to this my friend has dwnloaded this onto similar pc and it works fine so after numerous attempts to dwnload all the options ie repair files etc I think I'll stay with chrome for the time being.
