Hi
Can connect to wifi but get "No Internet, secured" message on 2 separate Windows 10 laptops. Multiple other devices connect OK: Windows 7 laptop, Firestick, Android phones, Ipad, Iphones. Problem just started, was OK previously!
Have done multiple router resets - no help.
(Have had a few problems since 2-3 weeks ago when I separated the channels on advice from PlusNet support : all OK to begin with.)
System: Firmware on router version 4.7.5.1.83.8.263 | Last updated 21/03/19
Separated non-sync Wifi 2.4 and 5Ghz channels, on Automatic, Smart Wireless (have tried fixed channels - no help)
Have tried "forgetting" connections on laptop and re-trying.
Wired connection (ethernet) is OK (although occasionally lose this Internet connection, while wifi remais for some devices - v strange - but fixed by reset)
(Also using TP-link extender but problem occurs whether this is in use or not).
Any advice please?
I see this is quite common issue, but can see no useful fix!
Also wonder if my firmware is up to date, and/or best?
Thanks in advance!
Chris

@ckilsby Welcome to the forum.
Having separated the two wireless channels have you checked whether the same thing happens on both channels?
Your firmware is up to date.

I moved it to tech help as it appears to be a windows issue rather than a PN one, see https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie11-iewindows_10/windows-10-wifi-error-no-internet-sec...

Understand lots of issues here with Windows 10 rather than router...
However, not aware of any changes to laptop/windows install...
Have worked through many of the (most sensible looking) options.. and updated the wifi driver :
- Intel Dual Band Wireless - AC 3160 (driver date 29/04/2019)
(Ethernet driver is already up to date)
Still get "No internet, secured" while other devices are fine!

Hi @ckilsby
Try disabling Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) in network properties for the adaptor.
Dan.

Hi Dan.
Have already tried with and without TCP/IPv6 ... no change.
[Am currently falling back on USB tether on Android (on wifi) - works well, but not the most convenient!]
Friend had similar problem - new router sorted it out..thoughts?

Hi again,
Pity disabling Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) worked for me when I had this issue.
As to using another make of router I'd need to prove it works before buying one.
Good luck stay safe.

fwiw, this is a long shot. Have you got anything hard wired to the Plusnet Hub one LAN ports ?
if yes, such as powerline adapters, unplug the ethernet cables from hub, and try your Win 10 laptops. I've seen this issue affecting certain wifi devices with other routers. Suspected ARP broadcast issue.
If you haven't already done so, try installing 'Reliable Multicast Protocol'. No idea why it would fix it, but it does work for one of my Win10 laptops with old intel 6300 802.11n card which had problem connecting to Linksys EA6350v3 when laptop was awoken from sleep - suspect Intel driver bug.
ps. I presume 'restarting' Windows 10 does not fix issue. Not the same as 'shutdown' and turning on.

Have you tried opening a command prompt as an administrator and entering
ipconfig /release <CR>
ipconfig /renew
