plusnet assist

I downloaded plusnet assist as I'm new to this provider and thought it would be helpful.  I installed it using IE, although they're not my favourite people, and subsequently have tried going directly from the icon, from the programme list, from IE and Firefox but when I hover over the links they turn blue but nothing happens.
Anyone else having this problem?

Which operating system as it doesn't work in Win 8
As an aside - I wouldn't bother with it as with a little help from here most problems can be quickly sorted
