I have just created an account with Plusnet and have arranged for an engineer to install a phone line in a couple of weeks.
This will be my first broadband installation and I noticed that although the checks ran when checking availability etc showed I was not connected to a phone line, there are a few actual phone line ports around my flat. Does this make a difference?
Also I live in a first floor flat and the outside doorbell is not working (due to a less than satisfactory contractor employed by my landlord, but thats another story!) so will it be possible for the engineer to phone either me or my partner when they arrive?
