Suddenly, I can't access news.plus.net - I'm getting asked for a username/password, which I've never needed before. If it's IP address related, then the white-list needs to be updated, as the IP address I'm currently on definitely belongs to Plusnet.

OK, that may be, however my connection just dropped, My IP address is now 91.125.nnn.nnn and news.plus.net is working again.
May be one of them co-inky-dinks I suppose...
