netgear dg834 router

>:(Hi all
I have a netgear dg834 router with 3 pcs hard wired to it and also an x box console connected .  I was wondering how to restrict the time the x box is allowed to be connected to the internet through the router without impacting the other units connected to it so i can reduce the time my son seems to think is ok to spend on x box live. I can't find anything in the router control panel but i'm sure it has something there.  Any help or advice would be greatfully recieved.
Thanks
Craig P

Re: netgear dg834 router

I haven't got one of these so I may be talking rubbish.
See the manual at:
http://kbserver.netgear.com/pdf/dg834g_dg834gb_ref_manual_03Jun05.pdf
Configure MAC address of the machine in question as reserved IP address as per page 7-6.
Configure Outbound Service restrictions as page 5-9 for the machine you wish to restrict from the Internet. You can also create those restrictions for certain time periods using instructions starting on page 5-14.

Re: netgear dg834 router

It looks good to me. I have not used the scheduler, but have used the firewall rules to block an IP address from accessing the internet.
