mcafee internet security

hi all
my mcafee keeps asking me to renew my subscription every few weeks but i get this free from plusnet...
can anybody advise me on this please as i am so discumbobulatet and very confused when this keeps happening... Sad Sad Sad Sad

uninstall it  Wink and use another free one theres plenty to choose from , even "windows security essentials" is free and quite good

Agree with that, both mcafee and AVG are bulky and not very effective despite massive HD activity doing their thing. Avast+spybot+malwarebytes suit me.

agree too ... mcafee is something best uninstalled (OK never installed in 1st place) .... have a machine running the totally freebie Comodo Internet Security premium without any troubles for a while (latest 5.8.211697 version released today, 11th October) .... this along with malwarebytes  should be enough for most normal home users on windows machines.
I did try the PN offering from mcafee BUT it seemed to be a cut down basic version where many of the settings seemed to be hidden ... Comodo very different

I agree,mcafee is not anything special,i have been using avira free antivirus for a few years & i am quite happy with it. Smiley
