I'm new to Broadband and Plusnet. In their website, Plusnet claimed 60 hours web surfing = 1.5 Gb which seems to be 25 Mb per hour. In my first day it seemed to be nearer 75 Mb per hour for surfing!! Have I got my sums wrong?

60 hours = 1.5Gb....Hmm...a large pinch of salt needed here.
It depends entirely on what you do in that 60 hours as HD iPlayer for example will put quite a dent in it.
Edit: Apologies for my lapse in manners....welcome to the forum jim2009

Not sure when that was judged but with the size of some web pages these days it's unlikely. However, it's possible, if you don't view any streaming and turn off images
Blocking ad's would also help bring the usage down - they seem to be getting larger and larger these days.

Dear Friends - Thanks for your kind welcome! It was plain bog standard surfing! It occured to me it could have been Windows update as it had been turned off for some months! I'll give it a few more days and see what happens. Though this morning in free usage 2.22 Mb for 25 minutes!

@jim2009, welcome to Plusnet and the Community
It'd have to be standard browsing to get that kind of surfing in 1.5GB, that's true.
@Strat, tut, you know as well as I do that HD iPlayer would be HD streaming, and not classed as standard browsing by any stretch of the imagination!
