iPlayer spontaneously terminates shortly after starting playback

This happens frequently late in the evening but never earlier. This is on my Panasonic TV.

It does not happen if I view on my PVR, probably because it buffers the complete video as fast as it can. My connection never goes below about 49/9

Anyone else experience anything similar?

Mine used to work years ago, but now it never does.

Try get_iplayer - allows downloads to PC on Linux & Windows.

Buy a Roku, Amazon Firestick or Chromecast would be my advice. Smart TV manufacurers are notorious for not maintaining/continuing to support their platforms for long, thus Smart TVs getter dumber over time...
