hi is it possible to add a router to my existing hub one to access vpn server for my network if so which one is best and how is it done or would i need to buy a standalone modem/router to gain this feature?

thanks

Re: hub one and another router for vpn

You could add a raspberry pi that’s connected to the vpn and install something like squid to route your traffic.
I’ve done this and it works fine.

Re: hub one and another router for vpn

so you don't want it as an additional access point you want to route all traffic from all devices through a VPN?

Re: hub one and another router for vpn

I would go with an rpi 3 minimum which tbh will be good for around 50mbps, other than that I would go for a Netgear D7800  R7800 with custom firmware. you need plenty of grunt when phushing everything through vpn.

Re: hub one and another router for vpn

Sorry that was a typo with the router above, R7800 or an R7000 will do the trick.

Why bother messing around with something that just isn't going to do a proper job ?
